Hi friends,
I had my fall stamp camp today and had a wonderful turnout. I had a houseful of good friends all having a stamping good time. Now I can't wait to plan the next stamp camp. We're also planning another shoe box swap. The swap we did last year was so much fun. It's always so good to get to see what everyone else comes up with for their card.
Well as promised, here are the rest of the cards we made at today's stamp camp:
This card features the Regarding Dahlias stamp set #130324 for $19.95 and the Mosiac Madness stamp set #130246 for $26.95. I embossed the dahlia with white embossing powder and sponged first with crushed curry ink and then with pumpkin pie ink. There was some "fussy" cutting but the effect is beautiful. The dahlia is popped up with dimensionals. Hope you like it!!

Here are 2 more cards from my upcoming stamp camp this Saturday:
This card features the beautiful Gently Falling stamp set, the Mosaic Madness embossing folder, and the labels framelits. This technique involves the 2 step stamping and a little bit of "fussy" cutting.
Here's another card sample:
This card features the sponging and masking techniques. This has the striped embossing folder and the label framelits again. I used the wide oval punch for the pumpkin. Elegant eggplant and old lucky limeade inks were used for the background.
That's it for today. Hope you enjoy these samples.
Have a great day!
Smiles,
Karen

Hello again, It's been awhile!
Hi Friends!
I've been away for awhile. Back in August my dad and his wife Carol came from Florida for a visit. It was good to see them. We took them to a Mariner's ball game and were treated to a fun fireworks show.
Right after their visit we helped our son, Justin, get settled into apartment living over in Pullman. He's an official WSU student now. I miss him bunches, but he calls, texts, or video chats with me everyday. It may seem a bit unusual, but both of my guys are away from home for awhile now.
Mike is off to Melbourne, Australia for awhile. We video chat every evening. We actually get to eat "together"! It's his lunch time and my dinner time (only a day apart!). He's been taking some great pictures and I can't wait to see these places in real life.
On top of all that, I started back to school, so I've been very busy with my classroom and getting to know my new second graders. They are a fun bunch of kids. We've had a great first month of school.
So now, I'm ready for some stamping! I went to the annual shoe box swap up in Bellingham. There were 24 of us. I had a great day and came home with 23 cool cards. I will take pictures of them and post them soon. But first I wanted to share some of the projects we'll be doing at my fall stamp camp next Saturday. It's going to be a stampin funfilled day! I look forward to having the house filled with happy stampers :)
Here are 2 of the 5 cards we'll be making:
This card features the Bootiful Occasions stamp set (131967 wood, or 126597 clearmount) and some fun punches. I cased this card from SCS but now can't remember the gal's name. It includes lots of bling on the hat and boots! Gotta love the bling!
Here is card number 2:
This card features the curly and cute stamp set and the hounds tooth embossing folder and some fun flowers. It also features the new Candy Dots. They add just a pop of color without the bulk of some other embellishment, but could also be put on a brad base and be used just like a brad.
I'll be back soon with cards 3 through 5 from my stamp camp and the card I did for the shoe box swap too.
Have a great day. Smiles,
Karen

I am working on a card for an shoe box swap I'm going to at the end of September. It's a new technique for me called "out of the box" and I can't wait to finish up the card. I'll upload that when it's all done. I will have to make 24 kits for this card so that will keep me busy for a bit!
If you're stopping by my blog, leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
Have a happy day!

Here are a couple of fun pictures from the Stampin Up convention earlier this month. We were able to choose from a set of background scenes. This one is the main stage.
This one is of Julie and me over the Salt Lake City Skyline. We had fun with these pictures. Julie got a picture taken of her playing with a huge kitty cat.

Happy Sunday!
Hi friends,
I wanted to share a card that my planescrapper friends gave me in June after we had a scrappin/stampin weekend getaway retreat at my home.

We had such a good time that weekend. I am looking forward to our next retreat.
Hope you all had a fun weekend! We almost sold the camper, but it just wasn't meant to be today. Hopefully we'll get more takers this coming week.
Till next time,
Karen

Welcome to my blog!
Hi Friends! Welcome to my brand spankin new blog! I want to share my stampin card creations, provide inspiration, and share what I love about paper crafting. I hope you will enjoy this site and come by often to check out new ideas.
Last week I attended the Stampin Up convention in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is the 25th anniversary for the company. I had a super great time. Stampin Up knows how to put on a fantastic party. It was great to go down memory lane and watch the progression of the company from its beginning to where it is now.
Here are some cards I made for swapping at convention:
These cards feature the Mosaic Madness stamp set.
This was a CASE of a card I saw online. I changed the layout and colors.
These cards features the Lacy & Lovely stamp set.
These two cards I CASED and changed the colors and added some embellishments such as the new candy dots and basic pearls.

Here is what I made for my "roomie" gift for the 2012 convention.
This card is what I made for my thank you's for the gifts I received from my students last Christmas.
And this last one is a New Year's card I made.
That's it for today. I look forward to sharing more samples from my stamp camps past and future. Feel free to leave a comment! Thanks for stopping by!
